A First Impression


For him to speak with his voice,
His mind needed to make a choice,
Of what to say in a phrase,
What he knows from birth until today,
Life lessons, memories, & knowledge,
He met her after he was done with college,
Now needing to offer a first impression,
Will it decide the relationship’s progression?
In his mind is the current search for words,
Using language she understands & prefers,
His mouth opens to release a wave of sound,
Within her ear the message sent is found,
With the transfer of the sound received,
His vibe is then pleasantly perceived.
