Strategies for Memories

“The significant problems we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them.” - Einstein

Last night as I was reviewing memories of the past, I thought about what most people say about being in the present moment, rather than living in the past. However, it is only human to look back at events & experiences. There are good memories & bad memories. I started this with a quote from Einstein, because when an upsetting memory comes to mind, which is a trigger for negative emotions, I feel the need to offer the thoughts to what I believe is my Higher Power. It is a belief that something greater than my own consciousness can take the triggered emotions from me. It usually always works; at least until I start doubting in the process, & feel bad from the associated memory again. As much as I like to be in the present moment, or imagine the possibilities of the future, the past can be a source of strength, or a struggle with areas I’ve been hurt. So, the strategy I mentioned is suggested, to work with whatever or whoever you may see as a greater consciousness known. Some say it is the Universe, the Divine, God, Jesus, Buddha, etc. This all helped me last night, & maybe it will help you too, if you need to heal & make peace with the past.
