Clarity of Priorities
I’m learning how clarifying what my priorities are each day,
helps to move in the direction of life I want to be traveling. This
may seem obvious, yet how often do we all just settle for the
default each day? How often am I complaining rather than
taking action? They say the most difficult part of starting a goal,
is actually the starting of the goal. I’m trying each day to make
it a priority to do a little each day with the goals I have clarified
I want to accomplish. A little progress each day adds up, & with
following through each day, it can accumulate to great things. I
can use the example of being as specific as possible, with a
vague statement. “I want to bake something, but I don’t have
ingredients.” Okay, let’s be as specific as possible; I want to
bake a carrot cake with frosting. With the end in mind, I can get
a recipe, I can make a list of ingredients, I can act on going to
the store to get the items, & I can act on the process of what the
recipe says to do for the final product. Again this may seem
obvious, but how often do we overlook the obvious, when it is
truly a “gem” of what we value the most? I only write about
this to check in with my understanding of this topic & process. I
hope we all can be as specific as possible defining what we
want in life, to experience great accomplishments. Once I
envision what is wanted, I can just let it go & enjoy its arrival.
