“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:7There is a time & place for everything. However, I’m observing in my life that consistent questioning isn’t helpful; I want to reduce this in my thought life. I want to let go & have a peace in my life, through knowing that the Lord is with me. Some questions are helpful, but if I’m worried or afraid, the questions I ask are doubting that there is an eternal plan for my life. The most important thing I can think of is God’s Eternal Plan for not only myself, but all of humanity. Trust me, I know. This world has way too many distractions & ways of thinking that take us all away from living for Jesus & spreading the good news of the Gospel. How much of this is our choice? As Christians, there must be a line where we accept that this one lifespan we have, is temporary, & that a focus on the eternal is beneficial for everyone. Today, either my sinful nature or the devil offered me a chance to covet. I saw a beautiful woman in a beautiful expensive car. I started to think what a great life that must be, yet who knows what is going on within her soul. For some reason, I said to myself, “Thou shall not covet”, & I thought about how this world pulls a veil over the Truth. Like Jesus in the desert, I used God’s Word to not buy into the lies. Anyway. I urge us all to have peace in our lives. Jesus taught humanity to cast our burdens on Him. This means that both a peaceful life (mentally & emotionally) is possible, AND that when we have the Lord as our focus, it makes this possible. |
