“The kingdom and dominion of the people of the saints of the Most High will be given to rule over cities in heaven.” – Daniel 7:27I’ll be honest & there are a lot of things I don’t understand in the Bible; even to the point of questioning it as contradictory. Please don’t get me wrong, I love God, Jesus, & the Holy Spirit very much. I want to follow the Lord in the ways of wisdom, discernment, & overall living a good life. When it comes to end time prophecies, or even the Book of Job, I still struggle. So, forgive me if this leads anyone astray from the Bible, God, or the right way to understand. Okay, I’ll get into it. If & when I make it to Heaven, I think I’ll just be glad to be in the presence of God & to live in a realm of peace, love, & all the attributes of a Kingdom based on purity. Yet, in this verse, it almost feels like a bait to want to rule over others, which I don’t want to do. Even a God of justice doesn’t add up, for the idea of grace & forgiveness. Jesus said to mankind, I will never leave you nor forsake you. I like that. Maybe I’m missing something. I just think ruling over others equal to myself is more of a flawed trait of mankind, than a divine trait of heaven. I pray that the understanding the Lord has given me is in alignment with who He wants me to be. With that said, I sincerely just want a good quality of eternal life. I don’t need to rule over others because of certain works that I’ve done that give heavenly rewards. Again, I apologize if any of this is heresy, but it is what I’m writing about today. |
